So … you can flash the new modem files, and you will get the fancy fastboot mode LED and vibration, and you can turn on the phone again while charging, but if you want the modem files for fixing e.g. the shutdown bug, those fixes are somewhere else, as explained here …

There’s no new LineageOS for microG build for the Fairphone 2 yet.
The phone now turns on when pressing the power button while charging.
Fastboot mode is now recognizable by three vibrations when starting as well as by the LED blinking blue continuously.

The flashlight workaround is no longer necessary for actions in connection with the new camera module, e.g. turning off the phone, rebooting into recovery from Android, starting encryption.
