I can’t place an order on the Fairphone.com website, because of multiple issues. I’ve tested everything with different browsers (Firefox-Linux, Firefox-Windows, Chromium). I’ve reported the first issue (Shop Login broken) nearly a month ago. But I got only an automated response from the support yet.
I wonder what’s going on at Fairphone B.V.. I hope the company is well - I love Fairphone. I fear that having this kind of issues not fixed for weeks may be a sign of Fairphone B.V. being in serious trouble.

Shop Login broken
First my shop login (created in 2017) isn’t working since one month (forum login is working). Trying to login on fairphone.com/web/login redirects me back to fairphone.com/web/login?oauth_error=3 saying:
“You do not have access to this database or your invitation has expired. Please ask for an invitation and be sure to follow the link in your invitation email.”
I’m very sure my password is correct. I’m storing it in a password manager and if I use a wrong password it says Wrong email or password. instead of the above error message.
I wrote to the Fairphone support at 2026-03-26, but until now (2026-04-19) I only received an automatic email: ”We apologize for our delay in responding to your message. […]”
Some Payment methods broken
Today (2026-04-19) I tried ordering a FP6 without login (as guest).
(I’m usually using the website in German localisation, but here I translated the following terms)
Choosing ”SEPA Direct Debit” (German ”SEPA Lastschrift”) couldn’t complete the payment. I entered my name and IBAN, clicked “Pay …” and then it said something about waiting for a server response. And every couple of minutes it showed a pop-up, saying it’s reconnecting to Odoo. I waited at least 5 minutes but nothing happened.
Choosing Pay later with Klarna asked me for my online banking credentials.
In other shops Klarna usually has a pay-by-invoice option (“Kauf auf Rechnung”), which simply sends an invoice with bank transfer payment details.**
I refuse to allow others to look into my online banking account. And because of security I consider it horrible, to ask people to give their banking account credentials to others.
Please offer a proper pay-by-invoice or simply bank transfer pay-in-advance option!
It finally worked via MasterCard. But this was a very bad payment experience.
(I could have tried Paypal or Google-Pay. But that usually doesn’t solve the above problem, because these usually again require again a payment method to get the money from my actual bank account.)
Please provide a proper working, privacy-friendly payment option!
As said, I’d consider bank transfer (pay-in-advance) a good option. At least in Germany bank transfer (“Überweisung”) is quite popular. Especially with the new Instant Payment feature (“Echtzeitüberweisung”), offered by the banks themselves (it’s not an external service like Klarna “Sofortüberweisung”, but simply a bank transfer being executed immediately by the bank).
Broken links
Finally there are some broken links on the website, as of 2026-04-19.
At the bottom of support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/201060927-Available-Payment-Types#h_01HDNYT2YM0KHW4DZ9N3HG9SY8, clicking ”contact our Customer Support” does nothing.
Directly at fairphone.com hovering ”Support” and clicking Check or change an order will show ”Page not found…”.
