Man mÄste be TRE om uppgifterna.

Hej,

Men inget fungerar.

Within the Google Messages app, message settings, RCS, is it enabled for your number and connected?
Is it not working to anyone or only towards iPhones (those don’t have RCS in many operators)

(and sorry my settings are in Spanish but I guess you get what I mean)

Totally ok. Mine is in English :slightly_smiling_face:. Yes, my number is connected.

Could it be as simple as a problem with the messaging app? I’ve read several people having the same issue.

Is the other person on android or iOS? Does it show the RCS (arrow with lock symbol) or Sms logo? That can also be a factor. I have rollback to sms/mms disabled If it makes any difference

Sorry, not fluent i Swedish;-)

I was wondering if there’s a solution to sending and receiving MMS/RCS to iPhone/iOS? Or is this just simply not possible?

I’m in Denmark and most people have iPhones here. Before I had a FP6, I had a Samsung, and I never har any trouble sending or receiving pictures via MMS. But with my new FP6 that has changed, and I cannot send/receive anything other than text from iPhones.

I have no problems with sending or receiving to other Android phones.

The problem is that the RCS support is not fully done for apple devices, depends on the carrier and them, if you check only 20 carriers support it.

Also I don’t think they are super keen on that working as it is straight competition to iMessage.

If it was working on Samsung could be a configuration of MMS settings, like fallback from RCS or APN. It would be good if you could compare with the old phone and see.
I’ll try to send an MMS to my work phone (iPhone) and see if it reaches and edit this response

EDIT: I tried and it was stuck and checked my configuration and what hallon said, my MMS proxy was wrong, it had an IP instead of mmsproxy.tre.se that solved the issue for me @o2cui2i give it a try. @The_Door check that your proxy is provisioned correctly

Thanks. I guess I’ll have to check with my provider, right?

My provider has the configuration online, check in their website the APN configuration for MMS, mine was provisioned automatically with wrong MMS proxy, maybe you have the same issue.

Also check this one, might help as it is also for. Denmark

I’ve tried both Android and iOS users. It’s the same. I also have the rollback enabled. It’s frustrating

I’ve tried both IP address and mmsproxy.tre.se, but none of them will make MMS work :face_with_raised_eyebrow:. The little “clock” or whatever it is, shows up directly under the image in the message.

It’s quite strange that it works for me with hallon using their network but not for you that pay for the real tre.
Maybe creating and apn only for mms and removing mms from the normal works as they commented for Denmark?
Just to confirm RCS does not work either? Or only MMS?

Yes, really strange. RCS works. Only MMS not working.

Then it is some APN setting tre is not providing or accepting to you. Maybe tre support can give the parameters?

I have the same problem as you for a Fairphone 5, with Tre as operator, based in Sweden. I have chatted with the support chatbot on Tre for hours tested all their advice and updated the APN settings. Still can’t send or receive MMS. Did you ever find any solution?
