MMS settings FP6 DK, telia

, ,

Hi there oh all knowing forum.

I cannot get the MMS to work with my FP6.

I have received several guides from my network provider, but the fields do not match the FP6 APN settings. The MCC and MNC fields are nonexisting in the APN on FP6. The network provider says they can’t help then.

I’ve had a loooong email dialog with FP support, without help.

Is there anybody here, who successfully has managed to get MMS working in DK (Telia network)…?

Sincerely Rasmus J, DK

Just to confirm, your mobile data works fine and the problem is only with sending MMS? Are you using one SIM?

Hi there.

Yes the mobile data works with a APN.

I cannot recieve or send MMS.

I’ve read on, after the last reply from yvmuell. And I can confirm from Android forums, that it’s and Android 15 issue, the MCC and MNC fields have been removed with that version.

I’ve reported it as a bug to the Android team. And I’ll ask for a new guide from the network provider, taking that in consideration. Maybe a new sim card can fix it…

At Telia in Sweden, I had to set up a separate APN for MMS on the Fairphone 5. Manually. Only then did MMS work.

Since it is also Telia, the settings may be similar. If it helps for orientation, here is the data from the Swedish Telia.

Thank you Miko for sharing. I’ll try to compare the values with the one from Danish Telia and try to set it up.

I have now tried to remove my simcard, install a eSim. Reset APN settings. Not working.

Trying to install APN settings with the new eSim. Not working.

Fairphone and my network provider is not much help.

Like it says earlier, Google have removed the fields for writing MCC and MNC in APNs, and my network provider can not come around that, it seems like. And because they don’t sell Fairphone, they say that I should contact my reseller.

When contacting Fairphone, they say it’s the network provider who have to work around the new Android 15, without the MCC and MNC fields…

Gooosh I’m tired of this issue.

Another Danes in here who have the FP6 with working MMS in DK?

Google has removed these input fields. This will be interesting. I also had to enter this data manually with Telia Sweden, otherwise SMS and MMS would not have been possible without problems. If I have to set up the device again, it will be difficult. This is a common problem, as a quick internet search shows. So back to Android 14? How does it work with the iPhone? Manufacturers and Google don’t feel responsible, so the customer is left in the lurch.

After many failed attempts. The Telia network provider in DK, helped me fix the problem. I had to change the mobile data APNs field ‘apn’ to websp and remove mms from APN type. Then choose ipv4/ipv6 i protokol. Then it worked.

I’m sure I tried that before, without help. But now it works, and I’m happy. Telia must have fixed it somehow.
