Developer Options
Don’t play around with these options if you don’t know what you are doing!
Developer Options are a set of settings that can be accessed by:
- FP1: Settings > Developer Options > ON
- FP2, FP3, FP4 and FP5: Settings > About Phone > tap build number 10 times
Settings > System > (Advanced) > Developer Options > ON
They include the “stay awake” option (this will keep the screen from “falling asleep” while the phone is plugged in and on the FP1 this option should be ticked when updating the operating system) as well as options for:
- Debugging
- Input
- Drawing
- Monitoring
- Apps
- and on the FP2 to FP5:
- Hardware accelerated rendering
- Media
- Many others
In FP Open OS (FP2) there is also an option to enable dic:root in the developer options.
