Def rebbot after disabling whatever SIM. I would be extremly surprised when the O2 would not offer it. Unlike with a VF or Telekom SIM, updates were as far as I remember never delayed with a O2 SIM

Is there still progress in this case? Should I be worried? Iām an IT professional and this is getting bad. My last security update is still nov 2025ā¦ I donāt know how long I can postpone other actions. Should I put on an alternative like /e/os? Because - sadly - I really need my Microsoft appsā¦. Even support is not able to give me a solution. Fairphone, I was a big fan, but this is making me sadā¦.
Did you try a different SIM? And also with your SIM again?
In former times, I made the experience that without a known carrier, no updates at all where found.
I set my phone to factory settings, kept it a whole day without the sim, restarted a dozen of times. I donāt have another SIM availableā¦.
Actually the OS doesnāt prompt you to reboot, at least not on my FP4. (And it makes sense, because most of the time you would be deactivating a SIM for connection/carrier reasons, not to force the OS to poll updatesā¦)

I manually checked for the update and it was available. Simyo at KPN, Netherlands.

That was my suggestion to @Hanne but obviously you can also consider that.
The eSIMs I used when travelling abroad I purchased for a few euro.
I am not saying itās ok to expect a user to spend extra money on the update but perhaps you could get a deal which you will find attractive enough to consider.

Neither in Germany on Deutsche Telekom, Prepayed eSIM.
Edit: got the update yesterday (28-April-2026)
No update yet on EE UK. My sister is on O2 and it arrived a week ago.

Sadly, loose of USB-connectivity still persists. Also reboot function leads to full shut off. Restart only by long pressing the start button.

And thats a common issue reported to support?
both occurred with 15.15.2 and were reported as I know.
