Sorry to hijack this thread, but is there a simple way to directly migrate from a FP2 to FP3, like locally? Direct via WiFi/Networking, or Bluetooth or NFC or something? Without uploading my addressbook and stuff to google or my pictures? Is there any such basic feature maybe built-in inside Android OS? Thanks.
Nope, Android is built by Google and Google wants you to upload your data to their cloud.
Look above for possible solutions.
There’s different methods for different types of data, but the app oandbackup, available on F-Droid, can backup contacts, calls, text messages, calendar, wifi passwords, and all of your apps, after which you can restore those to your new phone. Barring any incompatibilities between Android 7 and 9, which I believe aren’t too prevalent.
requires root it says on github.

Works like a charm. Just used during migration from FP2->FP3.
