My Fairphone 6 frequently shuts down and reboots. It happens when I am not using it, multiple times a day.
The operative system is up to date and Google play reports “no harmful apps found”.
FYI I migrated apps from my Fairphone 3+ via cable.
Please help.

Hi there
My Fairphone does the same.
Mine too, several reboots per day. While I’m using it and when its just laying around. Can’t find a pattern here.
Disable Location Accuracy, Emergency Location, Wifi Scanning and Blutooth scanning. That should lowers the reboots to only 1 a day or so
In case the current FPOS update is the reason. The initial post here in the topic was long before that and its unclear which system is installed.
I’m also experiencing these reboots. And they happen even if I’m not using the FP6 and it’s just laying on the table.
This is outrageous. I missed a very important meeting for me today because my alarm clock didn’t ring after the reboot! The support website says the latest update was released almost one month ago on September 30th, but I still cannot download it. I’m trying their other suggestions before opening the support ticket. But I would expect a warning that such a known issue exists and has such consequences!
@krzysztof-h @clsbln @DeeJay
Since when do you experience this? Where are you located?
Which OS Version do you have installed?
Open a service ticket and post it on reddit as well. It has been weeks and the team hasn’t even identified the issue. I don’t think it is a priority for them. My theory is that they will never fix it because they will need to add the North America FCC certificate, which they don’t have. That is why the team has been very quiet about other than saying “they are investigating".
Would you kindly stop throwing out unvalidated statements like this.
Thats just nonsense. They dont sell in or import to US thus dont need this certifcate, while it actually exist as Murena will sell the FP6 in the US
Also they just confirmed again last week they work on it, they contacted several user to provide logs. So work together with Murena, as e/OS had the issue before it came up with FPOS.
While @krzysztof-h did not even confirm, it even is the bug you are talking about.
Also: this is completely off-topic here.
Android, Poland. It’s happening from the start (3 months now), but only a few days ago I realized why I have to re-enter my PIN every day – because it reboots.
The “Diagnose Issue” website of Fairphone Support told me to try enabling airplane mode. It’s been over 24 hours now with airplane mode and no reboots. However, it does not help that the webpage says “Glad to hear that your problem is solved!”. If I didn’t need network connectivity, I would stick to my old phone. So I will open a support case.
really? Thats really not helpful at all and rather ridiculous
So how old is your SIM card? Do you have 5G and/or VoLTE enabled? See if disabling first 5G helps? And check if the SIM is properly snapped in.
Thanks for lightning-fast replies! Yeah, that page doesn’t lead to anything else… Maybe it sends feedback to Fairphone, but nothing is communicated to me.
Good point about my SIM card. It’s 2 years and 3 months old, physical. VoLTE works on my previous Galaxy A22, but it caused problems in Fairphone 6. I got calls from “Unknown” without the ability to call back. When I disabled VoLTE, I could see the calling number and hear them, but the other party couldn’t hear me. I had to switch to using 3G for calls to work properly.
Are you with Play or any company that uses their network?
Unfortunately, this issue with the necessity of disabling 4G connections in order to be able to recognise the caller has been reported on Play.
But I have not seen any reports on rebooting.

Have you noticed the ticket registered under your support account?
Hi Meaghan. Yes, my mobile virtual network operator uses Play’s infrastructure.
I don’t see any support tickets. When I acknowledge that airplane mode stops the reboots, the page assumes the problem is solved.
Hi
thanks. On Play it seems to be the issue with unknown callers, not sure what to advise, as solutions vary from nagging Play, Fairphone to switching to a different operator. Or just accepting 3G connections as you did.
On support tickets, if any are created, they should be listed under your support account.
Edited to say that you need to create a separate account for support queries I think.
But it seems from your image no ticket was in fact created. I have reported it in the topic on self-repair portal.
I have now determined that this issue happens only when I am connected to the WiFi at my home. Wifi at the office doesn’t give issues, and mobile network is fine.
My Fairphone 6 is the only device in my home that has this issue, all the other phones and devices have no problem with the WiFi.
Every time the phone reboots, it repeats the annoying animation of the Fairphone Moments.
I am based in Switzerland.
Android version 15.
Unfortunately, I experience the same issue: several random reboots per day
.
Also located in Switzerland (Zürich), FP6, Android 15, always latest updates installed, physical SIM, Network provider: Galaxus. Bought End of July 2025. No pattern found (yet) ![]()
Hi there
I have the same issue with my Fairphone gen 6. I have contacted the support and after trying everything they told me, they actually sent me a new device. The problem is: The new phone reboots several times a day as well.
In addition, the battery depletes very quickly; from around 50% over night in flight mode till the next morning. Means: In the morning my phone’s dead.
