My fairphone 6 e/OS keeps shutting down since a month

Hi there,

which version of /e/OS are you on? Could you check if there’s an update available? It’s a known issue (see below) and should be partially fixed

And in which country are you based? There are many reports about random reboots from Canada & US, few from other places.

The device is not optimized for the US, so network features like automatic time zone change could indeed take a little longer. Quickly toggling does not seem like a huge issue, though I can understand that is a little frustrating. If you do nothing, does it eventually update or never at all?

Thanks for lightning-fast replies! Yeah, that page doesn’t lead to anything else… Maybe it sends feedback to Fairphone, but nothing is communicated to me. Good point about my SIM card. It’s 2 years and 3 months old, physical. VoLTE works on my previous Galaxy A22, but it caused problems in Fairphone 6. I got calls from “Unknown” without the ability to call back. When I disabled VoLTE, I could see the calling number and hear them, but the other party couldn’t hear me. I had to switch to using 3G…
