My fairphone 6 e/OS keeps shutting down since a month

As the title says, since a month my phone will just turn off, even when the battery is completely full. It does restart, but I have to fully log in again. It happens both during the day and at night (so besides not being reachable, my alarm also doesn’t work).

Is there any fix, are others experiencing this too?

Hi there,

which version of /e/OS are you on? Could you check if there’s an update available? It’s a known issue (see below) and should be partially fixed

And in which country are you based? There are many reports about random reboots from Canada & US, few from other places.

Check out:

as well as here,

Hi Jamweiss,

Thanks for reaching out!

Unfortunately there is no update available at this moment, I’ve kept an eye on it BC of the issue. My current update is e/OS 3.2-a15-20251022539003-official-FP6.

Unlike the other topics, my phone doesn’t restart though, and has to manually be turned on again. Slightly frustrating if your phone is your morning alarm.

Kind regards,
Ilse

Hello @IlseV,Welcome to this forum.

could be due to a full storage or next to full…
what is the status of the phone regarding storage ?

Hi piero-e,

Thank you for the tip! Storage is still near empty, so that’s definitely not it.

I hope a new update will be available soon to resolve it.

Kind regards,
Ilse

Recognizable. In the last two weeks i had two times when i wanted to use my phone and it was turned of. I needed to turn on manually with the power button

I am using stock Android, no e-os.

I was doing nothing with the phone. One time it was in a dashbord holder. It is just a holder, no charging. The phone was not in use, no music, no navigation, screen off. The power button is not in the grip of the holder.

The second time i had the phone in my pants pocket. Again it was doing nothing. Just waiting standby. But it turned itself of.
