Hi,
I am new to this forum, fairphone angels etc.
I am based near Leeds, happy to pop to London (will be there in 2 weeks) - and my phone is suffering from the effects of getting drenched in the rain. At the time I was camping so delayed any action. Currently it is in rice. I tried it a few days ago, it turns on, gets a few notifications, then turns itself off.
I presume because the phone got wet it is not in warranty, otherwise it is only 3 months old.
What can I do, how do I get it fixed? I have not the spare brain cells to fix it myself atm.

You could try contacting Fairphone Angel Chris, who lives up in Leeds.

Just zoom into the map in the very first post to find the e-mail address that is nearest to you â or have a look at this list (it is linked to right over the map, too).
My region was not on there. So, I took a punt at one of the Chris names on the forum and struck lucky, so I am now in touch with a local angel (that sounds so odd!).
It is in the list, North England.

Mais il y a deux choses: quand jâinsĂšre ma carte sim, juste en haut Ă gauche de la batterie, le telephone ne la reconnait pas⊠Jâai une carte sim virgin, et mon forfait est sfr(câest la carte de avant de passer de virgin Ă sfr en fait) Est ce que tu crois que câest Ă cause de ça?

Iâm student in engineering, specialized in computer science and electronic. I have buy my fairphone in january 2016 (if in the same time if I can have the 3 years fairphone 2 it would be nice 
). Since that I persuade my mum and brother to buy one 
I love do DIY. Iâm acctualy part of a robotic team with wich one I won 4 times national competition (maze wall category), you can see video of our job here (Zhonx3 run).
Iâve always use android OS (I hope have time for migrate to Open OS). Iâve also start to learn how to develop android app.
I really love the Fairphone approach, and I want help people who get issue or trouble with their phone. I really want fairphoneâs user can find solution to their problem and trust in the fair trade.

jâaime vraiment la dĂ©marche de Fairphone, et je veux aider les personnes qui ont des problĂšme avec leur FP2. je voudrait vraiment que les utilisateur de fairphone puissent trouver des solutions Ă leur problĂšmes et quâils aient confiance dans le commerce Ă©quitable des produit informatique

I just wanted to pin it to Local so people find it easier, my mistake.
Hey folks - itâs poop timing, but Iâm needing to give up my Fairphone because of what I need for my work these days and although I could hang on to my FP2, itâs time to bid it farewell. Itâs one of the first 17,418 manufactured

What does that mean for me being an angel? I think Iâm probably going to need to give this up too. I have a few spares (mainly cameras and cases) Iâve acquired and I have a couple of folks Iâve been helping recently that might be in need of bits so Iâll hang on to these for now.
But I think itâs time to close down the North England angel site.
Iâll still be on the forum here and there, and Iâm excited to see what happens in the future, and who knows I might just be back
