I can not start my Fairphone anymore
Bevore I come to input my code, there is a small note with this:
System-UI wurde beendet
if I press the ok button, it only comes again or sometimes it changes like this:
System-UI wurde beendet / Fairphone OS wurde beendet

My answer in German (correct because mynative language is german and the questioner is also german):
Beim Starten des Geräts Lautstärkeknopf auf + (oben) drücken.
Ein Droid-Symbol erscheint.
Einschaltknopf drücken
Revovery-Menü erscheint.
Mit Lautstärke- auf “wipe data/ factory reset” scrollen
Mit Lautstärke+ bestätigen
Im Bestätigungsmenü bestätigen
Mit Lautstärke- auf “wipe cache partition” scrollen
Wie oben bestätigen
Am Schluss auf “reboot system now” scrollen.
Mit Lautstärke+ bestätigen.
Somit sollte das System wieder total auf Originalzustand zurück gesetzt sein.
Hoffe dass es jetzt funktioniert…

On booting the Phone press the button volume control (up) .
A Droid-Symbol appears.
Press the on/off button
Revovery-Menu appears
Scroll on “wipe data/ factory reset” using the volume - button
Confirm with volume +
Iconfirm in the confirmation menu
Scroll on “wipe cache partition” using the volume - button
Confirm like above
At least scroll on "reboot system now"
Confirm with volume+
Now the system should be totally resettet.

Why would you want to wipe the user data because of a non-working system component?
I suggest re-installing the Fairphone software from recovery instead. (If you have a first batch phone, but used the “storage upgrader”, you’ll have to use the FP1U software image for the second batch phone)
Why wiping data?
Normally, its easier to make a factory reset then to reinstall a image.
A lot of problems with system-ui are a result of installation incompatible apps.
These were deleted on factory reset.
Of course the re-installing the Fairphone software from recovery is the best solution, and i didn’t knew this link (thanks).
Same problem: rotation of the notifications “System-UI wurde beendet” und “Fairphone OS wurde beendet”
… before AND after manually installing 1.8.5!
However after the reboot the message “Google-Play-Dienste wurde beendet” appeared first & once, then the other two notifications.
I can’t use the FP (1st edition) any more.
