Stuck installing FP6

Trying to set up my new FP6 but I’m stuck on the Privacy policy. There is no way to check the box. Has anybody worked out how to do this? HELP!

Clicked at the privacy policy and Scrolled to the bottom? The button should be clickable then

Yes scrolled to the bottom, but that doesn’t change anything, the box remains unclickable.

Guess you are the first to be in the set-up… This seems to be a Fairphone “My Fairphone” App related thing? Is this coming during initial set-up where normally (only) all the Google stuff pops up? This is really mandatory?

Taken from https://youtu.be/CisekVETaak?feature=shared&t=328

The difference here seems to be that the checkbox and the next button are not overlaying each other. Can you scroll some more so that both elements are not overlapping?

It’s all guesswork but maybe a workaround is to use English as language like in the video and see if it works then?

how about first going with US/english only as a language and only changing later on.

these softwarecompanies… lol…

p.s. can you report back if switching to a different language during the very fist stages of android setup or switching to english even, remedies your situation? could bet it works with english or so. what a pity with these software companies and their software quality control (none).

Thanks guys, it worked! Changed language to English and now the checkbox and button weren’t overlaying. Will change back to Dutch later.

does this forum/board software / feature support a “mark as solution” mechanism? should be applied then.

Ingo, do the two (literal) screenshots in this topic remind you of the same (other) device, too?

Yes, and I think it was already marked as solved before you posted. You can see it via the square check mark icon in front of the topic title and that the initial post has a box directly pointing to the answering post.

Yeah, I know what you mean because I had the exact same thought before: it really does remind of the good old FP1

It really does! I had the same thought. The FP1 was my first smartphone, after that one only my current FP3. I’m now really glad that I ordered the white version.

I had the same problem with F6, installing in Italian.
I solved it by going into the settings and reducing the font size: that made the buttons visibile and the tickbox clickable.
I guess they did not test that screen well with all languages.

I tried this solution but it didn’t work

I’am installing my new fairphone 6 and I can’t confirm the reading of the data protection policy.
Therefore it’s not possible to continue. What can I do?

Actually managed it by increasing font size to the maximum

Do the boxes overlap as in the picture above?

Yes they did, managed to separate them by increasing the font size - what a palaver - not a very positive introdiction to the fairphone!

the installation of my new fairphone 6 gets stuck at the privacy policy step. i cant press the agree button. I have already restarted a few times, but this does not help.
