Could you @Alon_Brandt or anyone please provide the full Build Number? This > FP5 A.14 MR9 is rather something internal I guess, never seen this really in any release notes or other communication with customer or beta tester, however the build number includes a date and thats also useful here in my eyes when you filter for software updates.
FP5.UT2Q.B.125.20250605
Just installed.
Amazing, I get it this time with only a few hours delay. I sympathize with those who didn’t even get the previous update. This really needs to improve.
But to also give some positive feedback. Throughout the lifetime of the Android 14 releases, there were minor to none regressions. That was quite different with my FP4 experience. Which was everytime a gamble if an update was really worth it with all the bugs.
Although the auto brightness bug is still quite annoying, which was fixed in Android 13, but returned in Android 14. The support desk wasn’t able to understand the issue. Maybe FP will fix it in Android 15.
WiFi-calling was for some reason disabled after the update. I had to re-enable it.
Same here.
But no problems or bugs Besides from what .
size: 23.24 MB, when coming from may 2025 level.
Admittedly, I sometimes wonder “what’s the point of posting such information”, but boy have I just been taught to the better!
I’m one of these, and although I did not really suffer, here’s what a difference it makes:
Me coming from April 2025 level:
BTW, it did install without any issues here, too.
And again: no Update available for my FP5 with Telekom-Germany eSIm.
After getting the last update (May 5) with 5 weeks delay it seems I have to wait again.
In the German Telekom-hilft Forum they announced an Android 15 Update for FP5 this week. But I think they do not know what they are talking about.
Thanks for the update, you are on a streak for actual monthly security updates!
Mine updated immediately, I think it always does. Strange that there are such discrepancies.
Worked without any obvious issues, however also for me the Wi-Fi calling setting was disabled afterwards and my network preference (only up to 4G for energy saving reasons) was reset and the phone connected to 5G.
Successfully updated for me too Only bugs were:
Anyone else’s fingerprint security stopped working after update? Was this part of patch?
No, it seems to be a recurring item in the last updates, but there’s no real pattern in that until now. But it has definitely not been an intentional part of the patch.
Still working fine for me. Is the setting still showing? Otherwise you might want to have a look at this thread.
The update seems to reset all SIM-bound settings for some reason. As I am currently outside my home network, I had WIFI calling disabled anyhow. But I thus noticed that data roaming also got disabled by the update.
For me (and my wife’s fp5) the update broke phone calls. Calls from the phone visually worked - but no actual call was made, phone was silent, no dial tone/ring etc. Calls to the phone rang at the other phone, but no incoming call was received and the call would go to voicemail.
When I checked the SIM settings the following had all been disabled:
Roaming
WiFi calling
4g calling
After reenabling these the phone started working
Thank you very much! Thanks to your comment I was able to fix my husband’s FP5 which had exactly the same problem. He wasn’t able to receive any phone calls after the last update. After re-enabling these three SIM settings it works like normal again.
I am glad this forum exists!!
I was going to say i lost voice calls on Smarty (three) in the uk. I remember from other forum threads, i thought i better check my settings. Looked like it was on the network, but then saw my 4G calling was not switched on. If it isn’t switched on you get no ringing on your phone or the person you phoning, and vice versa i.e. silence. FYI. I think update might have switched it off.
Apologise for not reading all the threads in this posting. I see it was mentioned a few messages up. I am hopeless.
