Software update: FP5.UT2Q.B.125.20250605

Is Anyone else having problems with the app switcher? Since the update mine has become completely unusable. I plan to contact support sometime next week

Can you describe what’s happening? Maybe a screencast helps.

It’s not the desktop mode thing again, right? Where it keeps scrolling to one side.

Not sure now, turned desktop mode off and it stopped doing it, restarted and turned desktop mode back on and its still not doing it now. Strange.

I got my Fairphone back from repaircenter on June 7th, unrooted and re-flashed.

Unfortunately, I can’t download the latest update; apparently, none is available. According to the phone, the build number is FP5.UT2P.B.122.20250422, but it’s the Android security update from May 5, 2025. Wether with sim card in or out.

But understandably, I don’t feel like flashing and reinstalling the phone.

Who is your provider and in which country do you live?

Wether provider (HoT) nor country (Austria) was changed since Oct. 23. At least, all updates, except the last, worked fine.

Just tried to sideload it. Additional, its not possible, stops immediately with an error: “Signature verification failed: Error 2”

This zipfile was downloaded: https://fairphone-android-builds.ams3.digitaloceanspaces.com/FP5/A14/FP5-UT2Q-factory.zip

You mean flash through fastboot? Because sideload using adb isnt possible at all as indicated on the manual install support pages

Thats really bad - fastboot wipes the phone and I´m not in the mood to do it again within three weeks.

So there is no other option - basically reinstalling the phone with the latest security software or leaving it on the “old” software version.

Good News, finally the OTA update arrived today.
