Hi there!
My FP4 screen came loose. I went through the repair troubleshooter but it seems this falls under “my issue isn’t listed” so now I have to wait for support to get back to me. In the past my issues were resolved in 2 weeks (February 2024) and several months (this summer), but at the moment there is no indication in the automated reply how long they’ll take to get back to me. Does anyone have any idea how long they’re taking at the moment?
I see several options in the meantime:
- Glue it back in (this is what some people on Reddit did apparently, but I don’t want to accidentally mess it up)
- Use tape on the edges of the screen for now
- Buy a screen from the official shop and hope for a refund in a few months
- Put my SIM card in my emergency phone and use that until support gets back to me
- Open to other suggestions if you have any
I’m puzzled as to why this happened as I didn’t drop my phone recently. Again, the screen is not cracked and works perfectly fine. I’m typing this on my phone! I just have to hold it horizontal while using it, which is annoying because it means I can’t put it in my pocket/purse or use it in any other position or else the screen will start coming out of the phone. I could see behind it if I wanted to, but I don’t want to break whatever thread it is hanging on by.
