This morning, my FP2 repeatedly told me, Google Services stopped. I decided to reboot, but after powering down, I couldn’t turn it back on again. When I pushed the power button, it would vibrate shortly like usual, but then keep vibrating shortly every second or so, and nothing else happened. LED was off and the screen didn’t backlight either. Pushing the power button again wouldn’t do anything, the interval vibrating continued, same for pushing the button long (>10sec). Only taking out the battery would stop it. Putting it back in, phone & vibration is off, pushing power button again, the interval vibrating starts again.
Several retries all gave the same result, removing SIM and SD card didn’t change the outcome either.
Battery was about 80% charged when I first tried to reboot.
Plugging in cable with battery inserted: same effect as pushing power button, i.e. interval vibration starts; and continues upon cable removal, only taking out battery stops it.
Plugging in cable with battery removed: LED blinks red and interval vibration starts.
Additional information:
I have a FP2, since October 2017, and running the preinstalled Android on it. Ever since I got it, I’ve had issues with random reboots. After the december update, it has improved, but is still present. Even with no cards (SIM, SD) inserted, it is present. I have been meaning to get in touch with support, but hadn’t gotten around to it yet.
