MMS problem to and from iPhone

I just bought an FP5 and it seems to be impossible getting MMS to and from iPhone to work. SMS works fine to and from iPhone and MMS to and from Android works fine as well.
I get the message “stop sending and remove” and no alternative like “send as sms/mms”.
I have checked all settings in APN and can’t see any problem. By the way, I only have one APN, but they say I should have two.
One for surf and one for MMS. If I put my simcard back in my old Nokia it everything works, and I have two APN:s.
I have contact both my provider (Fello Sweden) and Fairphone support without result.
Can someone help me, please?

I recommend you note the settings of the two APNs on your Nokia device and configure/add these two on your FP5 with the same settings manually (especially add the APN necessary for MMS).

Thank you for the answer. The problem is that all settings in my Nokia isn’t available in my FP5. For example name: In the APN for surf should be “online.telia.se” and in the APN for MMS should be “mms.telia.se”
The MMS-proxy is “none” for surf and “193.209.134.132” for MMS.
If I turn over and just use the MMS settings in my FP5 nothing works.
This only two of the examples.
If I look at my providers homepage for my phone it says that it is two different APN:s for surf and MMS.
Since it’s only problem with send/recieve MMS to/from iPhone I get a bit confused.

Sorry, if I miss the point. But can’t you just create the necessary APN entry manually by using the plus sign on the APN page of the SIM?

No I can’t create a new APN. The only thing that happens when I use the plus sign is entering the APN that already exist.
I thought that was the solution, but I’m afraid it wasn’t.

Sorry, still don’t completely understand the problem.
You use the plus symbol, type in all settings, tap the three dots at the top right and save what you’ve entered. Then your phone should have two APN entries (hopefully the necessary ones).

Thank you again for your response!
If I try to create a new APN as you described I can enter all fields in it and fill in the figures, but I’m not able to save by the savebutton.
When I go back and look it’s back to default. And on “first page” I still have only one APN.

There are a few rare reports of user who could not change or add APN and it seems that this need to be sorted out by the carrier as

Edit:
My swedish is not really existent however from therir HP it think 1 APN should work for both, internet and mms?

Thank you for the link (in swedish!).
I’m sorry to say that it didn’t help. The instructions seems to be something in between for Internet APN and MMS APN, but since mms works for all phones except those fruitphones it makes my hair even more grey…
My provider didn’t mention anything about two APN:s when I spoke to them.
They just checked the setup in my one and only APN, but in their homepage it’s two APN :s for Fairphone

Was your SIM card ever used in an Iphone? How old is the SIM?

No, never used in an iPhone. It’s about two years old and works, as I mentioned earlier, perfect in my Nokia 7plus.

I finally made it with your help!!
First, as both of you described, press the “plus” symbol to edit the new APN and after that press the “save” button for about 10 sec.
And now it seems to work!!
Thank you for your help and response!

That sounds really strange but anyway, great that you’ve found this workaround and that it works now! :tada:
Your report might also help others in the future.

Yes I agree with you Volker, it’s strange that after trying do make a new APN for about 20 times successfully make it the 21:st time.
I think that the phone needed a little more time to save than just a “tap” on the savebutton. Not necessarily 10 sec. that I wrote, but maybe 2 sec.?
Anyway, thanks again to both Volker and yvmuell for your help!

It does. Same here with “Fello” in Sweden.
Now the APN is set and waiting for an opportunity to test.
Tack så mycket, Claes!
Thank you.

Michael
