I can’t send or recieve mms - I tried using my daughters sim from another provider and still no luck.
My provider is 3 and I have literally been on the phone with them all day. Nothing works.
I have gone through all the trouble shooting points on Fairphones Help section - it doesnt work.
3 Denmark has a manuel set up guide for mms on fairhone 4. But one of the bullits in the guide is MCC and that doesnt exist on the Fairphone 4 (as well as the next bullit) so I can’t complete the guide, and 3 cant help if MCC doesnt exist.
I have cleared cache on the messages app, I have enabled and disabled RCS, restarted the phone 50 times, turned on fly mode and turned off fly mode, enabled automatic network and disabled automatic network, enabled wifi calling / 4g and disabled it. I have tried with an eSIM and with a regular sim. And many other things.
When I type MMS in Settings the first line in the row says Mms is disabled. But I can’t click the line and there is nowhere in the settings I can activate or deactivate MMs. In the settings of messages it doesnt says mms is deactivated.
What do I do?
Also, I have very poor reception. Again my daughter doesnt. People can’t hear me at all or I’m cutting up or the call ends all together. I can hear the people I’m talking to. Again I have tried all sorts of things. I use wi fi calling and the strange thing is, I have great wifi for everything else than calls - I can stream, browse etc. but not call. The problem started a while ago. Again I have tried all sorts of things AND enabling and disabling all relevant.
Is the two connected? Do you have any suggestions for one or the other?
That setting might be in the sim card part. If you disable the mobile data it will give an option to still receive MMS with disabled mobile data, that’s why the search finds it but you cannot see it.
I don’t know what MMC setting is, I have in mine MMSC within the APN settings.
There is a thread for APN and MMS in Danmark here with other operators. Maybe something helps:
Yes, I read that Thread - and it is the same problem as mine in regards to MCC not existing. I tried typing in, what worked for him, but it didnt work. Maybe because he is with another provider.
Check this one from 3 Danmark om FP4. I think it has all the parameters you need even if it is showing an older android and ignore the ones you don’t have. Also disable MMS from the other AP, keep it only on the new one.
But they say that can’t. For one because this is the guide they got from Fairphone, and - they say - they dont know the phone and what to do. They refer to Fairphone.
Check with the Fairphone chat what they say but there are bug reports to Google that this is missing on A15.
I also inspected the 3 support page and for a Samsung device with A15 they still give the same instructions, which will not apply in the end… So 3 needs to fix their instructions too. They also have issues in Sweden.
By the way, forgot to say that 3 looked at two different Samsung phones running on Android 15 and they claim the MCC field is NOT missing on them, so they say it is a Fairphone thing.

Did they check the real phone or their online instructions?
Pixels have the same issue. Which holds that is an android 15 problem. Maybe Samsung exposed it either way? Not sure if/how they can do that.
Saying it is an android problem for sure it is not a solution, not trying to divert here. But from forum perspective it is either 3 or Fairphone support who should help you. So I would suggest to use the chat and see if Fairphone support knows about that.
I guess the support told you already to delete the APN and add it again?
I see in AOSP documents that those parameters shall be provided by the sim (physical or eSim), so it is quite weird.
Also is strange that tre does not provide any more information either.
