Looking for a Fairphone 3 screen

Hi all,

My phone suffered water damage over Christmas - it turned on once or twice but didn’t stay on now it seems to turn on (buzzes when I get a call) but I can’t see anything on the screen.

I wondered if anyone has a cheap/free Fairphone 3 screen so I could see if that works. I don’t feel like paying for a brand new one in case it doesn’t work

It might be a connection issue with the display. Have you already dismounted and remounted it? Pay attention to Step 9, the plastic clamps secure the connection just like the screws do. First and foremost, the phone needs to be all dry. Water ingress often does not kill a phone instantly, but can still do so days or weeks later. P.S.: The battery can discharge much quicker in cold weather. Once the phone is all dry, you might need to charge first.

You might also want to check if there is a “Fairphone Angel” nearby – if that’s the case, the Angel might be able to let you test another screen.
