:uk: Hello all,

I have a FP4 with e/OS operating system based on Android 11 (de googles, ie modified Android 11, without googles access). I can’t get along with this OS and would like to completely rebuild my FP4, preferably with Android 11 and Google access.

Can anyone give me some tips on how to go about this?

Grundsätzlich ist dies die offizielle Anleitung:

Ganz wichtig ist aber seit einiger Zeit, dass die Installation auf keinen Fall ein Downgrade in irgendeiner Form sein darf, da sonst das Gerät ge"bricked" werden kann und nur noch vom Repair-Center in Frankreich wieder ins Laufen gebracht werden kann. Dabei muss nicht nur die “große” Android-Version, die neu installiert wird, mindestens gleich hoch sein (Android 11), sondern auch die installierte Version der Android Security Patches.

Solange der Bootloader nicht gesperrt wird ist auch ein downgrade möglich.

Hallo zusammen,

herzlichen Dank für Eure Empfehlungen und links. bootloader ist nun entsperrt, hat soweit ganz gut geklappt. Alle Einstellungen wie USB debugging sind hoffentlich korrekt eingestellt. Möchte jetzt das neue BS aufspielen und es klappt leider nicht. Hier die Meldungen:

Ich komme nicht weiter, es wird das neue BS nicht installiert.

Was mach ich falsch?

Falls auf dem MacBook fastboot nicht direkt installiert ist, tritt hier das gleiche Problem wie fĂĽr die Windows User auf.
Lösung, bis das mal von FP gefixt wird:

Danach noch den entsprechenden Eintrag für flash_fp4_factory.command in der SHA256SUMS Datei löschen.

Ok. Ich bin leider kein Spezialist. Die Ă„nderungen habe ich in Zeile 238 vorgenommen und gesichert.

Ich habe die SHA… gefunden und neben dem Eintrag flash_fp4_factory.command steht eine Zeile:
b3af4335ee5eb64c1d61dffe86d868ea8a929d3e096adc7d4ecf15c5e07c583d

Was bzw. wo soll ich was löschen?

Einfach die ganze Zeile inklusive des Hashes löschen, speichern und danach die Installation nochmal laufen lassen :slightly_smiling_face:

Mein FP4 ist kompl. entsperrt. Bootloader zeigt in roter Schrift an:

Bist Du sich, dass es komplett entsperrt ist? Vermutlich ist der bootloader entsperrt, aber nicht die “critical partitions”.
Dieser Entsperr-Schritt findet sich in der Anleitung mit fastboot flashing unlock_critical.
(In der oben verlinkten Anleitung unter “7.” im Abschnitt “Unlock your Bootloader”)

herzlichen Dank für Eure Hinweise und Tipps. Haben mir sehr geholfen. Ich konnte so das neue BS aufspielen. Hat letztendlich alles sehr gut geklappt. Dankeschön.

Jetzt wollte ich den Bootloader wieder verriegeln, und nun habe ich einen Loop und komme aus dem Bootloader nicht mehr raus. Auch nach dem Ausschalten und wieder Einschalten.

Bitte dringend um Eure Hilfe, was kann ich tun um aus diesm Modus wieder herauszukommen? Wenn ich versuche nocheoinmal zu entsperren, zeigte er an, dass er b ereits entsperrt ist. Eine Neuinstallation des BS funktioniert somit nicht.

Was kann ich tun?

Mir ist dasselbe passiert, von der Abgabe bis hin zur Retournierung hat es 10 Tage gedauert … wurde aber als Garantiefall abgewickelt … viel Erfolg — :confused:

Dankeschön für die Info, dblake, über Weihnachten wird es wahrscheinlich noch etwas länger dauern, mal schauen. Wenn dann alles wieder funzt, bin ich echt froh. Bin gespannt, wie lange die erste Reaktionszeit in Frankreich dauert ;-).
