During a festive night out I dropped my phone and ever since the main camera is not responsive, rest of the phone works perfectly still. I tried reconnecting the module today but that didn’t work either.
I am looking for a FP3 camera module (12 or 48 mp). I am willing to pay for the module and for shipping.

Just to make sure – have you checked the connection of both ends of the camera module connector cable? One of these is hidden under the metal shield and has gotten disconnected (from the core module/motherboard) some times in other users’ FP3 devices.
Didn’t know that was possible, will try reconnecting the one under the metal shield
now in stead of black in the camera app, the app just won’t launch, other camera app only works with selfie cam. I think I made the problem worse 
So I probably did something wrong with the connector.
If you find it hard to access the other end of the connector, you can remove the metal shield with a Torx T5 screwdriver to get free access to it:
One more suggestion: For pure testing, you don’t need to screw all 13 display screws back in every time, it’s usually enough to just make sure that the display properly “clicks in” at all its edges.
Did you try to clean the contacts with alcohol? Maybe there is an angel near you who can give you a camera module for testing. If the problem is not at the module it could save you buying a camera.

Some traveling later… My phone turned 5years!
The main camera is still broken but the selfie camera started working pretty quickly again after a restart. Week ago the screen went out after a fall and I cleaned some connectors with alcohol, also the back camera connector. Then the flash seems to do something when I push the main camera module in the right way (?!). Now everything works but the main camera.
So, I still have the same problem. 
It did change my life for the better tho. I saw myself so much in the camera that I changed my hairstyle and I deleted Instagram. + I now have people take pictures for me, I just point.
I will try to get in contact with a local Fairphone Angles Community to try to fix the camera.

Yes I do have one FP3 camera module at the moment. Its price is 40€ (+2€ or 5€ for the shipping, depending of the tracking option).
However it’s not a “48 Mpx” module, but you should know even the FP3+ only has a 12 Mpx camera module, 48 is the number or millions of photosites, but not pixels, it’s a misleading argument that Fairphone badly chose, in my opinion.
Honestly the difference between the two cameras is minimal.
However if you want to really improve the quality of the FP3(+) camera, you should check out the Gcam port of the Google Pixel.

The 12mp camera on my Fairphone 3 is still working (even though the stick-on window cover over it fell off a while ago and got chewed by the dog). I was looking to upgrade it but it sounds like there’s no need to if I can improve it’s performance with software.
I have been looking for a replacement battery for my Fairphone 1 (1st edition) though.
Is that something you can help with?
