Impossible to switch apps. Nova launcher

Hello

Since I upgraded to Android 15 it looks like the system is somewhat slower. And more annoyingly, when I try to switch between apps it regularly gets stuck : I can see the various apps opened, but I don’t manage to switch to any of them. When I put the phone on standby and then wake it up again, I get to the desired app.
Did someone get this problem?

Hi! Since the update to Android 15, the system is much more aggressive in killing background apps. For example, I’ve been using x-plore (highly recommended) for years to schedule backups. Since the update, these scheduled copy operations are no longer reliable, because the app apparently gets stopped/killed while it is working in the background. Quickstep keeps stopping

Hi, Quite a few people have encountered problems with Quickstep and many have worked around it by installing a different launcher such as Nova, Lawnchair or Fossify Launcher Beta (available from F-Droid).

It looks similar to the second one, except that I’m using the Nova launcher, which seems to work fine for other people. Just now the problem is even different : when pressing the square button nothing happens, I need to press the circle button and then select the app I want.

I had a similar issue with quickstep plus apps not responding, and switching to Nova solved that. The circle ‘button’ didn’t work in my case.

I have changed your topic name to reflect your Nova experience and will keep it here, at least till someone has a better idea:)
