Ever since I bought this phone, I have had nothing but problems. From the beginning, rarely, the screen would act up, lots of phantom touches, requiring a restart. This is rare. Maybe once a month. At once point, it just stopped responding to touch at all. I had to take it apart and push the screen hard, then it worked again. Occasionally it is pretty snow, but that has only happened a few times.
For the last few months, more and more often, it doesn’t charge correctly. I have to take the phone apart, just push the models again, and then it charges. Otherwise, it says it charges, but it instead discharges.
Since that major phone update that caused lots of glitches, I have had daily very frustrating network issues. It will randomly start roaming and it takes hours to switch back, even if I restart the phone. I had to disable automatic network selection. Now it will randomly switch to 3G and won’t ever switch back to 4G unless I manually select the network.
Data will also randomly just stop working. Despite being connected to 4G, it will randomly just have no connection. Sometimes slightly moving the phone or flipping it will make it work normally, but sometimes I have to search for networks and select 4G, and it’ll work again, despite the fact that it was already connected to 4G.
I also never got my recycling credit from Fairphone.
Support is a complete joke. They have never fixed a single problem I have ever had.
This is the most frustrating, least reliable phone I have EVER had. Maybe I was just unlucky (I preordered the phone, so one of the first ones), but support is a complete joke. Has anyone else had any of these problems? Any actual solutions since this company doesn’t seem to care about warranty?
