can the direct connection via usb cable to transfer data from an iPhone 14pro to the never started Fairphone 6/e/ OS Murena work, like in the description “follow the instructions on screen” is written?
or would that brick my Fairphone’s Software?

Welcome to the community forum.
Which description are you referring to?
hi elk, thanks for your welcome have you looked to my post? so many questions & that topic would cost me nerves!
have a nice day!
i’m AFK for let’s say 8- 10 hours
packed in the phone- box, there is a paper folder, this description!
you have a very good knowledge basis, have you ever tested to the direct usb- connection between a brand-new Fairphone 6/e/ OS Murena (never started before & no sim- card inside) to transfer data from an iPhone 14pro like described “follow the instructions on the display”; you know that wording i think, can you help me with details to don’t brick or affect my new phone? help is really appreciated! sorry 4 my bad english!
I moved your topic out of the other topic into your seperate topic.
For migration to e/OS follow Murena instructions.
A post was merged into an existing topic: DNS over TLS/IPv6 issues- Apps don’t load data over Wifi
This would refer to Fairphone’s own Android OS, not the alternative /e/OS Android you chose.
Some things can and will be different with /e/OS, the missing migration step in the setup wizard seems to be one of them currently.
Feel free to give Fairphone support some feedback about this, so that they know this might confuse users … https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us
As you are not the first user to have asked about this (I’m including the /e/OS forum in my count), I’m pinging @Fairphone_CM, too.
Even if I guess this would be difficult to resolve from their side.
Perhaps an added paper with a small disclaimer and directions to /e/OS documentation included with /e/OS Fairphones would help for a start, if it could be added by the people who preinstall /e/OS on the phones?
hello AnotherElk,
thanks
for clarifying the description, i’m thinking that is no workaround to connect directly both devices. another question, if it’s ok to ask what have you pinged? this sounds new for me & i don’t know where i’m landing on the web & how they can or will support me in the right direction? anyway, thanks for your nice response
i want to follow your suggestion to write to the support site ![]()
While I dont think you need to apologize, if easier, you can post in your mother tongue as well. And maybe there is even off-line help by an Angel possible, see under this link fairphoneangels for locations
hello, you removed my topic in an other direction, are i’m right to be off topic or at the wrong place at the forum?
i hope, i’m making no trouble for you!
thanks for your support & have a nice day
not at all, it was just a duplication and a bit off-topic. No need to worry ![]()
Continuing the discussion from How to (re)start the migration process:
servus community forum
would that work with iphone 14 pro?
i don’t want to start the migration again after a factory- reset.
when i go to settings > accounts > write my iCloud.com data in can i sync from their website all iPhone 14 pro data & apps to my new
Fairphone 6. Gen. with /e/ OS preinstalled?
Questions migration FP6 Google vers /e/os
I mentioned the user @Fairphone_CM in my post, so they will get notified by the forum system that I did this and should have a look there as a result.
