When my present phone dies (hopefully not that soon), I may well move to Fairphone. Does anyone know why the current ones have to be so BIG, and if there are plans to make a smaller one? I just don’t want a phone that does not fit easily in my pocket.

You can find lots of thoughts on that matter in older topics like
Dear Fairphone community,
ever since I had the pleasure to be invited to the FP3 official release, I have been wondering what to do when my FP2 dies. I have one single absolutely non-negotiable criterion for a phone, and sadly, FP3 does not meet it:
A mobile phone must fit in my Jeans front pockets. The FP2 already exposed many of my Jeans to excessive wear & tear, in effect breaking them faster, and having a negative impact on the environment.
Sadly, the FP3 was designed to be even longer, t…
I vote for a smaller version of FP3. The “normal sized” FP3 is good for most people, but for me it’s too big. And I’m NOT the Only one.
Let’s call it FP3s. Or maybe just FPs?
And: yes, this is a community forum, but FP might read it and if there are lots of posts and likes, they might consider to follow “their customer’s” desires.
Hi Everybody,
I hope here is the right place to post this question and that the topic wasn’t already discussed. I searched the forum a little bit but I couldn’t find anything similar.
Does anybody know if there are any plans for the Fairphone 3 to get a “smaller” brother? Maybe something in the size of the Fairphone 1…?
For me and for a lot of my friends the Fairphone 2 is much to big to comfortably cary it in the pocket of your jeans or easily operate with one hand. Unfortunately a lot of th…
In daily use since January I noticed two reason for the Fairphone to become a bit smaller: I put it always in the pockets of my trousers and in many of them it is a bit to long. Especially because for nearly all travel in Hamburg I use my bicycle and it is not very comfartable with the “large” phone in the frontpocket.
Another point is that in many times I handle the phone with just one hand and find often that my thump is to short.
So I would appriciate a Fairphone which is 15 to 20mm less hi…
I need a new phone and have heard that the Fairphone 3 is techonologiacal up to date. However I would like a phone that also fits into my pocket so until now the size has stopped me from buying one. Is there going to be a mini phone any time soon?
