Hello everyone,
I received the FP6 today. When I compare the pictures of the FP5, the FP5 pictures are almost always better. I had hoped that the new camera would be better. I notice it most in against the light. The pictures from the FP6 have a fog. Any tips or other experiences?

Has anybody already especially tested the FP6 Night View mode in dark conditions? Does the result changes with the used App (GCam, FP, OpenCamera)?
I still use a used Pixel 2 from 2018 (used 2022 to now after dumping FP2 from 2016) and it makes VERY good night views (also with nearly complete absence of any light source) - If FP6 can at least compete to the Pixel 2 camera from 2018 I would be happy to again jump onto the FP-train! Or do we are already in the next league anyway nowadays?
Push the topic - would anybody take some time to share some impressions / comparisons?
@yvmuell maybe you could add “Fairphone 6” in addition to fp6 as tags? Why both exists independently, doesn’t make sense…

There’s some picture from France near Brest, with the fairphone photo app. I’m not an expert in photo so might not be representative of what it can do !
And there’s the same but with the last BSG gcam app.
Oh and one from the fairphone app again but with the larger lens.
Hope it helps

Thank you very much for sharing them! They look great
I think this is the same file than the second photo of you post. It has the same size and filename.

Got my first Fairphone (6) last week, also my first Android since 2012/2013.
I made the following photos this morning with the standard camera apps, no editing, with the main camera…

Took some more photos with the Fairphone 6 today. All Pictures taken with the standard camera app, no filters, no editing. I’m quite impressed with the quality of the Fairphone 6 so far. Took the same shots with an iPhone 14 Pro…for my amateur eyes they are quite on par! Will test some more in low light conditions soon.

If I see it right, the FP6 no longer has the wide angel lens picture sides become a blurry mess compared to fp5?
I would not conclude that from 1 picture some FP5 pics were also ok

Should be noted that you can see the sharpening/processing doesn’t cope well in this shot. The leaves don’t look too good.

Gcam looks better. Stock has unnatural looking sharpening.
At the release event of the FP6 they mentioned that camera improvements are coming.
