FP5 e/os failure, screen locking

Hi Fairphone community,

Fairphone FP5 /e/OS screen locking issue:

Problem: Screen locking setup fails / doesn’t work after installation.

Details:

  • Flash successful (super partition OK)
  • Setup reaches screen lock configuration
  • Screen locking fails completely
  • Bootloader functional, current-slot: a

Question: How to fix screen locking on FP5 /e/OS? Works otherwise fine.

Device: Fairphone 5, bootloader unlocked, also tested with locking.

You probably forgot to remove a screen-lock or a connected Gogol account before the /e/ install,
You will have to restore FPOS, log in / log out in account settings disable screen-lock, and then reinstall /e/
