Thanks for that, I saw the same test issue in the screenshots so replied here to confirm those issues.
I didn’t know it was possible to test the mic in My Fairphone App (forgot that existed actually ). The mics seem to work there.
I won’t reply here anymore as I see some detailed comments that split off like you said. But this gives me some new scenarios to test so thanks!
Hey man,
I’m having the same problem and already in contact with the support. They told me to send the smartphone to repair.
I did it with knowing that won’t work.
It came back after a week and the problem is still there.
I’m in conctact with the support again.
Here is my post in the forum.
Hey guys,
I’m using my Fairphone 4 for a few months now and after the last update I have problems with my mobile call quality.
If I use my smartphone with the loudspeaker activated during the call, my voice isn’t recorderd properly and I always sound like I have connection problems.
After I switched back to my regular “private ear loudspeaker” there isn’t that problem anymore.
I assume it’s a software problem.
I also phoned a test hotline to see if the problem is really on my side and I got…
I will also take your one and send it to the support, to put some “pressure” for a solution.
Greetings

When using “VOLTE” (or something like “improve audio via 4G”), it’s not usable at all on Free Mobile with my phone.
Welcome to the forum.
I just did a test on FP4 with Free Mobile, 4G Calling, Speaker mode, the caller could hear me perfectly.
But I thought this thread was about Speaker mode in GSM calls (with 2G).
For the record, I also performed a test of Speaker mode with 2G, still using a Free Mobile SIM. No problem encountered.
idk be cool if they had a module for a microphone, at least one down by the charging port to swap or upgrade.
Hello, I’m having the same issue. When I call using the speaker people can’t hear me, it custs all the time. Anybody found a solution?

Having the same issue
The “My Fairphone” app does not have a test for this anymore or is the test working but I cant actually use “hands free” when making a call?
