I am using 2 sim cards and would like to be asked before any call, which sim card to use. I set:
Network and Internet/sim 1/Calls preference: ask every time
When I not restart my phone, this option is always resetted to :
Network and Internet/sim 1/Calls preference: sim1
Is there anything I can to to fix this?
P.S.
The same with
Network and Internet/sim 2/Calls preference: ask every time
Network and Internet/sim 2/Calls preference: sim1

When you restart the phone, is the phone then asking for a pin code for both SIM cards?

Hi
Have you set a PIN for SIM2 ? If not try setting one.

I set a pin now for both sim cards, but the problem persists. Iāve restarted the phone several times and set the preferred calls settings to āask every timeā. But after every restart, it sets the settings back to:
Network and Internet/sim 1/Calls preference: sim1
I have a similar issue. I have set sim1 as preferred for text, data and calls, however, after reboots it always switches to sim 2 for calls. Ultra-annoying.

There are other resets noted.
See if you have the Digital Wellbeing app enabled and if so disable. Here are a few examples.
hi again, I started seeing a pattern that issue occurs around my Digital Wellbeing bedtime settings (evening and morning) and started suspecting the app. Iām not clear how much this is a standalone app and how much part of the system settings, but what helps me is to go to Google Play and click āUninstallā. It will not uninstall it fully, but will leave āUpdateā button available. I donāt click it, but at some point Google will update it again. Until Google does, I no longer get launcher promptsā¦

I try to walk a line between de-Google-ing the phone while keeping the basic Google Mobile Services (GMS, for OTA updates of the OS and some Play Store Apps I still have as APKs for installing) and the Play Store itself (for updates of remaining Google components) from breaking, even if I try not to use my Google account for now.
Iām not a big fan of installing downloaded APKs from some website without an automatic update possibility which stores like e.g. F-Droid provā¦
How do I restart in Safe mode? Although if I do, and the shortcuts remain, it doesnāt tell me much because they only get deleted after some reboots (4 since opening this thread), not every reboot.
Iāve disabled Digital Wellbeing now, since I donāt use it, so weāll see how things go for a while.
