My wife just got a new FP 4 and the proximity sensor seems not to work correctly. During she is talking to someone the phone calls someone else itself or simply quits the actual call. How can we calibrate the proximity sensor or reduce the touch sensitivity of the display? Thanks for crowd’s help in advance!
There are quite a few threads about this issue:

The quickest help would be to switch of the screen with the power button before holding the phone to your ear, unless it’s configured to end a call.
So the screen doesn’t stay off when she has it near her ear? Maybe this is related:
Can you try dialing * # * # 2 8 8 6 # * # *
and running the proximity sensor test? Does it work there? Unfortunately I don’t know of any way to manually calibrate the sensor. And yeah, it seems it’s kinda wonky and needs to be fixed:
- Proximity sensor problem FP4
- Proximity sensor goes crazy in sunlight (WhatsApp, Signal, Facebook Messenger, Stock Dialer, WaveUp)
If the issue persists, please make sure to contactsupport and let them know.
