Forgot my pattern, can't trigger the save-pin code

I forgot my unlocking pattern and now I can’t access my phone anymore. What I remember is the pin-code that is supposed to let me in my phone, the fact is that I can’t trigger it.
What I ask is the way to trigger my save-pin code or any other way to unlock my phone.

There are at least 3 possible points where you have to enter some authentication:

  1. Only applies to encrypted phones: Encryption password set up by the user.
  2. SIM PIN to unlock the SIM card to use the mobile network.
  3. Method to unlock the lock screen set up by the user.

You might remember your SIM PIN, but if you didn’t use the same PIN for unlocking the lock screen, then that doesn’t help you there.
