Fingerprint stopped working, setting completely gone

When you lost the settings comlpetely your issue is a different one.

Same issue on my end. It happened out of nowhere: “fingerprint reader unavailable”, settings are gone for the fingerprints, and apps using fingerprints are not using it anymore. I tried to dial ##2886## in the phone app, then select “FINGERPRINT RAWDATA”, the application crashes in loop. Is it because of the .98 update (can it be patched)? Or did my fairphone 5 just lost its fingerprint reader???

please share what staps where not possible on your phone.

have you already done the two tests in the My Fairphone app?
