I have been a happy user of a Fairphone 3+ for 4.5 years. Since yesterday I have been having major problems:
- When I connect a charging cable, the LED does not light up. Normally it lights up.
- When I press the start button, it usually doesn’t start.
- When it does start, the display freezes. Either at the framework logo or then at the /e/OS logo. Sometimes Android boots and I can enter the PIN. If it freezes while entering the PIN and during vibration, it vibrates for a second before the device restarts. Very rarely I can also enter the PIN and start an app. But then everything freezes again.
- I can also boot into recovery. The behavior is identical there: the device also freezes there.
Notes: - The problem occurs whether I have all four modules connected normally or all modules removed.
- The battery is fully charged.
- There was no event like dropping or water
I assume that the device has damage to the motherboard and that this cannot be repaired. Does anyone have any tips before I have to throw it in the garbage can?

i guess, many other people have the same issue…
i love fairphones policy and their passion for our world and fairness. but: why they do not sell the motherboard? i can’t understand this… i can’t find an answer. maybe someone can help me. what is the reason to not sell the motherboard to customers? now, i have a working display and four working modules and two batteries. now, everything go to trash, because of manufacturer problem with the fairphone 3.
EDIT: Baking the motherboard helped, 200°C for 10 minutes. the phone starts again. i already had a backup of my data, but with a working phone, i was able to check everything.
