Connecting ASHA/BLE hearing aids to FairPhone

Hi

I am having a problem using bluetooth to connect to my new Resound Vivia hearing aids on my FP3.

I’ve seen a few older forum topics but saw nothing definitive or up to date. Have also waited a couple of weeks for a response from Fairphone Support but not received anything as yet. So I am trying here…

I believe the issue is that the hearing aids make use of ASHA/BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) but these are not available with the FP3. Is this correct? In the Developer options, there is an option to enable BLE, but it is greyed out and can not be adjusted. Is there any way around this?

I don’t think there is way to get the hearing aids to work with an FP3 but it would good if somebody could confirm this before I send the hearing aids back or decide I have to upgrade my phone.

Is anybody aware of what FP model would work with ASHA/BLE?

Thanks for your help.

Simon
