I had this too a few weeks ago. My FP’s display was way too hot for me so I performed a reboot and since then the problem seems gone forever. Don’t know of your phone is on some loop and doing background stuff but a reboot is a good thing to do at first. If the problem persist it would be good to know some details from your phone. Is there a physicals SIM, microSD and so on

Thanks for sharing! I’ve rebooted my phone a couple of times since I got it, funnily enough I noticed that my phone automatically rebooted this AM after the big drain happened - maybe it detected an issue and self-rebooted to fix it?
It’s a physical sim, currently roaming (maybe that is related)
I have noticed the battery life has become incredibly pants recently, and the battery usage indicator doesnt show anything out of the ordinary… something to do with background sleep has definitely been broken in an update
