When is search for a app for example Signal.
it will show up, but when I click on the it will open another app. In my case a app called A code
In other apps it will also happen.
I also tryed to restart but it wont work

Is the Signal app (or the other that is opened instead) on the home screen? If so, try removing it. Then add it again. I make the suggestion because this was a solution for a similar (but not same) problem, where one shortcut on home screen was opening another app.

The video shows that its being searched in the app drawer. Signal is found, however the icon seem to greyed out @Jqri ? When Signal is selected another App is opened. I dont know this other app or what it does so any chance to disable this and try then?
This problem is not unique to the Signal app.
It also applies to the āUntis Mobileā app, for example. The funny thing is that sometimes the right app opens, but the wrong one opens again the next time I try. Incidentally, the logo is different because you can set this in the Signal settings. Here is a new link to the video

I have the same issue. When Iām searching for an app and if iām too fast to open it, it is the first app alphabetically that opens.
Ok so I swipe up to look up some app, any app. I type in the appās name into āSearch Appsā at the top of the screen. It comes back with the app, it is now in the top left. I click on it. It does not open that app. Instead, it opens the top left app from the āSearch Appsā menu that appears when I swipe up. Alphabetically, the first app. I have to click meticulously to avoid this. Very frustrating. Feels like a trivial fix. Please, please solve this bug.

Obviously you need to enable dev options.
That will fix the issue.

You can fix the bug like this:
Since the Update āFP4.TP2G.C.0119.20240509ā the Animation factor in the developer settings is set to 2x
Before 1x If you change that to 1.5x or 1x instead of 2x the bug will no longer exist. Until you increase the animation factor back to 2x .
Iāve had this issue - so far the fix posted here is working.
I have the same issue and just tested this.
It works somewhat. The system behaves more snappy in general but also is a little more irritating to the eye.
The delay until it opens the correct app seems to scale with the animation speed.
The bug is still present. (a long delay (>100ms) between animation and interface update)
I created a support ticket Iāll link this thread in it.
I alredy made an issue. Fairphone support contacted the developer to fix this issue.

Have you really tried this:
On your Fairphone, go to Settings ā System ā Developer options.
Under Drawing, tap Window animation scale and set back to 1x.
Under Drawing, tap Transition animation scale and set back to 1x.
Under Drawing, tap Animator duration scale and set back to 1x.
Optionally you can search and wait a few seconds before clicking on the app.
I have really tried that, yes.
It is working better but the problem in not fixed.
