Since the latest update (Android 16), I’ve been having an issue with the 2x zoom on the main camera. When I take a photo with this zoom, the image is cropped even further than the preview. Has anyone else had the same problem?
Same here, the image is cropped in both vertical and horizontal orientation

It happens more often in landscape mode, but it’s not actually systematic even for me
Also here. No Problems with 2x zoom.
I’ve seen this issue also a few times, but not in a reproducible way. Has anyone found a way to reproduce this issue consistently?

Hello, I had the exact same issue with the 2x zoom on the main camera cropping my photos even more. Deleting the storage space & cache in settings/apps/camera app fixed this issue for me!

I have the same issue. Noticed it happens when I zoom more than 2x and then return back to 2x. After that, all my 2x-zoom photos seem to be cropped/zoomed. Restarting the phone solved the issue for me temporarily, so did deleting storage&cache (but that also resets any changes to the settings).

Yes, same here. I turend of every auto enhancer and ai setting but it still does not work…
Same here. Cleared cache and everything, still some photos seem to get randomly cropped. It’s not a rare issue either, the 2x camera is basically unusable for me. I’d say most pictures I take suffer from this issue since the update.
