An open source os without Google

If I try to install open fairephone os my fairephone shown android update and then prepare parametter in loop.

Because i’m looking for an operating system whithout google with firefix, f-droid and terminal and python3 wtith the ext4 driver,

Note :firefox is my main browserr and i would like to install a web app work with firwfoy on my fairephone

Whitch os corresponding to my waiit ?

Currenltly I have no more opereting system on my fairephone 2

I tried to install open fairephone trow my mac os compiuter with this file

Unfortunately, when after runing flash-for-unix.sh script, the fairephone start and show after a moment “optimisation d’aandroid” and then in loop “Démarrage d’Android en cour :”

If I remove the battery the memory is corompt and I must reinstall my fairephone.

Can you help me to fix this issus ?

FP2 cannot install Fairphone Open 17.10.1

You could try the TWRP way to completely wipe the phone and make a clean install from scratch … I found that to be very helpful and reliable when trying out different OSes. Attention! 1. Fairphone Open OS will work on your phone if you wipe the phone and install it again via TWRP (see the thread I linked to above).

2. Here’s a list of OSes you can run on your Fairphone … sounds like you might be interested in LineageOS …

unfortunately When I tried to connect my fairephone 2 on my computer there is no fairephone icone mont and no notification on the fairephone 2

Note : windows 7 see my fairephone 2 only the usb mode is activated.

Windows 7 can’t install automagically the driver and seem xubuntu 17.10 dosen’t have any driver to see the fairephone 2 on open fairephone os

It’s not a bug, it’s a (security) feature … It was introduced with Android 6. In case you encounter other issues with Android 6, here’s some more stuff to read …

Since you have libmtp installed everything should be just fine as it is. I don’t know the oddities of Xubuntu, but it seems that Thunar (your file manager) doesn’t want to show the FP2 MTP device. You could try installing the mtp-tools package. Otherwise there could be an MTP plugin for Thunar. Your last resort would be installing jmtpfs or simple-mtpfs and mount it via command line.
