Hi together,
I’m using an alternative launcher (KISS launcher). Sometimes when using the phone, the “Overview” button (the bottom right square button from Android’s UI) stops working. Touching it just does nothing.

This issue started happening since the Android 15 update last week. Since there are many reports of the Quickstep launcher crashing/failing for others since the Android 15 Update, I thought I’ll give it a try and found a workaround:
Alternatively, rebooting the device also made the problem go away.
I thought I’ll just leave this here in case it helps anyone else.
Wait - You said in the first post that you use the KISS launcher. So how does the Quickstep launcher affect your phone?
In my understanding, if you’re using KISS Quickstep shouldn’t be running.
That helped in the past on the FP5 as well however only temporary. Will be interesting to see if that helps in the long run, or if you need to repeat this.
The stock launcher may still be responsible for the Recent Apps overview while you are using an alternative launcher.
You can find out by uninstalling the stock launcher and checking whether the respective button still works
. (At least users in the past found out this way involuntarily.)
@KurtF, launcher3 provides both the default .LauncherProvider: [1]
RokeJulianLockhart@Beedell:~$ adb shell cmd shortcut get-default-launcher
Launcher: ComponentInfo{com.android.launcher3/com.android.searchlauncher.SearchLauncher}
Success
…and remains responsible for quickstep.RecentsActivity even when you’ve cmd package set-home-activity’d another application. Launcher providers aren’t equivalent to this.
I did this twice and have not seen the crash again.
