After the most recent update to the Fairphone 6 with the offical Murena e/os update, the Wifi is not functioning properly.
If I have both the wifi and the mobile data, the wifi will not work. The network becomes either VERY slow or doesn’t load anything at all. The mobile data always seems to be OK (I have to first disable Wifi of course).
If I turn off both mobile and wifi and then reboot and turn wifi back on (not mobile) it works for a short period before it becomes broken again. As you can imagine this is very problematic.
There are a few reports online (Mastodon) of the issue with murena mentioned but no one has provided any feedback. I have also raised a support ticket with Fairphone.
I’ve got a similar problem since the update to /e/OS v4.1.1: my Wi-Fi also does not work anymore after a short time (I guess max. 1 h). After turning off the Wi-Fi and turning it back on, ir works again (for a short time).
One thing I noticed is after connecting to a Wi-Fi, it often says the Wi-Fi has no internet for about 5-10 seconds, then it is okay. That didn’t happen before the update.
Yeah, it appears to be some DNS issue. I had to disable the Advanced Privacy app and set the device to autoselect DNS and then I installed RethinkDNS. RDNS has replaced most of the blocking ability of the advanced privacy app but best of all the wifi works.
