Wifi connects but can't provide internet. After reinsert SIM card

As I said. Took out my simcard with Fairphone turned off. Then put it back in. And I got wifi symbol with an ! Symbol near…

It seems to be connected to my APN settings. As once I removed them with the Network Reset like all my wifi, sim and Bluetooth settings all reset…I could finally use WIFI… But since Fairphone 4 ain’t every automatic with APN…I have zero APN settings once I network reset and lose my Mobile Data connectivity AND call and txt and SMS and MMS capability…so it’s not really an option since I touch grass…

Uploaded the error

Nutshell:

Turn off phone, click power button a quick one time to check off, Take off case, Take off back, take off battery, Using Nail pushed simcard in to eject and Took out Simcard, Reinsert after I was done testing it, turn on, Wifi connected but no wifi (Check 1st pic). Tried the usual Restart, turn on and off wifi, turn and on mobile data and Sim card both separately. Restarting and Shutting down…Decided to do Network Reset like factory reset but just network settings… Worked! But no ability to sms or mms or call or mobile data…I go to work need data…So I luckily screenshots the APN settings to get mobile data and MMS to work…and then tried using WiFi and nope back to square Connected but can’t provide Internet 🛜

Hi @FairphoneEnthusiast,

welcome to the Fairphone community form.

Mobile network settings (including APN’s)
or WIFI settings should be two superette tings.

Have you tried?:

are those the staps you took?:

greetings

Tom

Huh… Dunno… Think Wifi is down in my city, but it’s odd other devices like my Samsung s21 ultra had perfect wifi and so did my PC…

But my laptop has horrible wifi now…so I’ll assume its a quirk of some wifi servers being down…

False alarm…ish…but I guess it’s still hard to beat Samsung with their strong phone wifi cards or attenna or whatever…just another hint to just switch to Samsung…sigh…

Had FP4 for 1 year and half… Hopefully the wifi gets better in a week and things are normal again…
