I’ve adopted my father’s fairphone 6 with eOS and I am having trouble with using whatsapp and signal when using mobile data (Vodafone Italia) essentially messages and calls never seem to connect. My hotspot also doesn’t work… That’s my latest discovery.
I have troubleshot all the AI tools and browsed the fairphone and EOS forums and as far as I am aware the issue appears to be that my microG does not connect to cloud messaging. I have double checked background permissions, checked the privacy controls, reset the mobile network, turned airplane mode on and off, but it just refused to turn on. I’m not sure what else I can do.
