Water damage (vertical lines) what do i replace

Hello Fairphone community,

What do i replace?
I dropped my FP4 in water. I took it appart, but didn’t wait long enough for it to dry {12 hours w/ fan) before checking it. It worked fine for hours then, i got vertical lines. They are dynamic not static, by that, i mean they change with what ever is on my screen or sometimes without a correlation to the colors on my screen. Like water colors bleeding vertically. I can still see the underlying text but its difficult. Do i replace the screen or is the damage in a different component? How should i proceed?

Fairphone 4 fell into the sea

Have a look at the waterwiki Anyway you shouldn’t use the swollen battery anymore for security reasons. You might check if there’s a fairphoneangel near you. So you might check the phones functionality before ordering a new battery.

You don’t seem to have a swollen battery, But you could benefit from the other topic.
