When using automatic brightness, I think the automatic level is too low. I wish I could tell the phone to always use e.g. 10% more brightness than it currently decides.
Is that possible?

You can manually adjust brightness even when Adaptive brightness is enabled.
To quickly access the brightness setting, pull down from the screen top with two fingers.
Android should learn to adapt to your manual adjustments over time.
