Does anyone else have problems with headphone volume? Everytime I make a call with headphones, the volume has to be 100% and it still sounds like an whisper. If not use headphones, the volume is just fine. The problem is only on phone calls, either direct or internet based calls.
Hi, two questions that would narrow this down: are these wired (USB-C) or Bluetooth headphones, and does the same thing happen with a different pair?
Some background that may help while you check. Android keeps call volume as its own level, separate from media volume, and it only changes when you press the volume keys during a call. So it is worth pressing volume up while the call is active and watching which slider moves: it should be the call one, not the media one.
If they are Bluetooth, calls go over a different profile (hands-free) than music does, and many headsets keep a separate volume for calls. Turning the volume up on the headset itself during a call, and not only on the phone, sometimes fixes exactly this. Removing the headset in Bluetooth settings and pairing it again is also worth a try.
If it is a wired headset and it is quiet on calls only, with more than one pair, that points to the phone’s software and is worth reporting to Fairphone support with the Android version you are on.

I’ve tested both Bluetooth, two different and wired headset and no change in the volume.
Thanks for testing, that is useful. Two Bluetooth headsets and a wired one all being quiet on calls only rules out the headsets, so it points to the phone’s software.
Two things are still worth a minute. During a call with a headset connected, press volume up and check that the call slider really goes to the top. And try one call in safe mode, which switches off downloaded apps, in case one of them is changing the call audio.
If it is still quiet after that, I would report it to Fairphone support with the Android version and build number, and mention that three different headsets behave the same.

Yes, I have done basically everything you mentioned, disconnect the Bluetooth, tried another devices and tested the volume bar but nothing changed. I’ll informé next the fairphone, maybe they are interested.
