I just discovered that the volume buttons on my FP3, contrary to any other device running Android 9, change the ringer volume when nothing is playing (as opposed to the media volume) which is rather annoying.
Is there any way to change this? Thanks!
I created this thread. You are welcome to add you change request to the first topic. Feel free to edit, it is a wiki.
This thread should contain mainly possible improvements that could be come with software updates to the phone. There is also a wish list where the fancy stuff could find space.
This is a wiki, so feel free to add your points here in one of the two categories.
For clarity reasons please add only key points, please.
Probably possible improvements:
Hardware implementation
Making “hardware button actions” selection available in settings menu, such as “long press power button for torch light”

I observe that behaviour also on my Fairphone 2. Is this not the standard behaviour on Android?
I know this behaviour from different smartphones, too.
Now, Android 9.0 Pie has flipped things around, giving media volume the limelight. (source)
