USB 3.5mm Headphones stopped working FP6

Hi,

I got a new FP6 a few months ago, and unfortunately, I am having many issues with it…

Recently, my phone doesn’t recognise my headphones (3.5mm with USB-C adapter - working fine on all other deviced I have) anymore.. This happened suddenly: I was listening to something and out of nowhere the sound output was changed to the phone’s regular speakers. Since then, whenever I want to play any sound, no matter in what app, the phone plays it from its internal speakers.

Multiple restarts didn’t change anything about this. I cannot find any setting regarding the audio. The USB-port does work for charging.

Honestly, I cannot reccomend getting the phone to anyone. This is just the tip of the iceberg regarding the issues I’ve had. One day I might write a post about the other ones, when I find the patience… My eight year old Samsung was more reliable than my two months old fairphone is…

Hope someone had a similar issue and might be able to help.

kindly check the forum and add your voice to already existing topics instead of writing a summary.
And most important inform Fairphone support and add the info what device you use. I just tested some USB earbuds and those work fine with Spotify, Whatsapp, Antennapod, Deezer, Signal…

Hello
I noticed you have had some issues with charging in the past. The common weak point is the USB port, could you have it diagnosed using MyFairphone App?

The advice to contact support still stands, there is an online chat or self-repair portal option, it should accelerate things.

In the meantime you could check if that is any local angel to check the USB port and the adapter with them.

Good luck
