Short: No, but it canā€™t hurt when you are in TWRP anyway.

Update installed via TWRP 3.2.1-0 (Releases)

The following things work for me so far:

  • call / be called
  • send SMS / receive SMS
  • internet via WiFi
  • internet via mobile network
  • location
  • compass
  • screenshot
  • main camera (new module)
  • selfie camera (new module)
  • USB connection to PC / MTP
  • alarm (incl. swiping it off)
  • MyPhoneExplorer
  • root (via already installed addonsu-14.1-arm-signed.zip, not installed again)
  • USB OTG
  • WiFi hotspot
  • Bluetooth (data connection, music playback Edit: problem with Panasonic radio was my mistake)
  • FM radio

For things that might not work thereā€™s a bugtracker.

Just updated to lineage-14.1-20180220-nightly-FP2-signed.zip (includes February patch level) with the updater. Smooth as always. :slight_smile:

Do you know, whether the latest FP2 update against reboot issues is included already?

It is not included, and the update apparently is in the binary blobs ā€¦ so I guess the update would be in a new modem.zip and not in the LineageOS build.
Can anyone confirm?

Installed recently latest modem-zip. Is it true that it is not necessary to re-install modem after every update of LOS?

The good but astonishing news for me after installation of modem-zip is:
My phone which became sometimes relatively warm stays cool.

It is only necessary if there is a new version of it.
It gets installed independently from the OS, so you can install the OS as many times as you want, the installed modem files donā€™t get deleted or changed by that.

Sometimes they even fix stuff with a new version :slight_smile: .

Iā€™d also like to know - a friend of mine has a Q3/2017-FP2 with Lineage OS and lots and lots of reboots per day and relies on my help to get rid of those as soon as possible. Does she need to get her hands on a new modem.zip and flash through TWRP or can she just install the upcoming Update next Tuesday?

The activivy of @chrmhoffmann here: https://github.com/TheMuppets/proprietary_vendor_fairphone/commits/cm-14.1 seems to hint to an integration in the upcoming Update or am I wrong?

That, it seems. Coming with the next regular Fairphone update early march.

Hi, no it does not include the reboot fix.

The reboot fix package is not yet available for download (only through updater). Also, if the fix is really only in modem (NON-HALOS image), it would not be distributed with lineage but must be flashed separately.

Thatā€™s a rare occurrence - most of the Q3 20017 and later devices will also have the new display module, which doesnā€™t play nicely with Lineage yet.
(In case people otherwise think Lineage isnā€™t affected by the reboot issue fixed in FPOS with the new blobs)
