Unstable connection in (video) calls over Wi-Fi while mobile data is fine

Hello everyone,

I noticed problems with the connection stability over Wi-Fi during signal calls or when using ChatGPTs voice mode. Both work fine with mobile data.

In Signal, it’s hard to understand each other because the sound is interrupted every few seconds. ChatGPTs voice mode (which is basically a phone call over internet) is completely unusable because the AI doesn’t hear everything and when answering there are interruptions in the sound every 4-5 seconds.

I tested it (especially ChatGPT) in several Wifis, they are all the same. With mobile data I never had any issues.

I found similar topics, but for me the update(s) didn’t help.

Great latency at video-calls or calls over WiFi in FP5

Hi folks, since a a few weeks I have my new Fairphone 5. But what I now have there is a very great latency while talking in calls (audio only) or video-calls via WiFi. But my WiFi connection can’t be the reason because while talking over my Laptop in video-calls or audio-only there’s no such a Problem… Did you maybe have had also such a problem and does anybody know a solution?
